Process

Each design begins by being cut from a large sheet of speciality white 160 gsm parchment paper.

After the paper is pre-creased, it is folded into shape - for complex designs, this process can take many hours.

Afterwards the ends are connected to form a cycindrical shape.

Before being ready to install, the sheet is hole punched and threaded to close the design.

A draw string at the top allows the model to be easily place onto an existing light fixture.

For models which are closed at the bottom, a second draw string allows one to change a bulb without having to remove the lamp from its fixture.
